  Hazel's mother is Italian-American and her father is Polish, but she was born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, under the care of her grandmother, who lived there at the time. She was with her grandmother until she was around eight, when the woman passed on. She moved back in with her parents soon after, and the family moved to Germany. They were there for the majority of Hazel's life with them, until they suddenly decided to pack their bags yet again and haul ass to the USA, where they took up arms in Ohio. When Hazel turned 19, she moved to Maine. She has lived there ever since. When she first moved there, she met a man named Diego and they fell in love. He proposed to her when she was 21, and she said yes. She didn't know she was pregnant then. When she found out about the baby, she didn't even have time to tell Diego before somebody told her that he was cheating on her. She left him and miscarried two months later. He still texts her sometimes.
